All About AlbumWorks
I grew up spinning 60′s records on a one-speaker record player on the floor of my mom’s San Francisco apartment. I still play record albums at home and, through AlbumWorks, love working with album covers and their vinyl to invent new products. My mission at AlbumWorks is to repurpose record album covers into decorative and functional one-of-a-kind creations – giving new life to classic album art and keeping music memories alive for vinyl generations.
AlbumWorks is a home-based business – Hubby built me a fabulous studio in the basement! Our one-of-a-kind creations are available to view online at this website, for sale on Etsy and for sale regionally at art & craft fairs, music and holiday festivals near Kansas City.
Our product line includes functional, decorative and nostalgic items. I start with original record album covers, their vinyl albums, any included inserts and their paper sleeves. These materials are integrated with glue, tape, paper, frames, clock parts, scrapbooks, bags, spiral binding and tassels. All products are hand-assembled by me. Choose from our current line of products: tote bags, 45s purses, clocks, memory books, annual planners, framed covers, sketchbooks, blank planners, record books, covered journals, address books, notebooks, notepads, bookmarks, luggage tags, note cards, key chains, magnets and postcards!
I have over 1,000 albums in stock at all times. Genres include rock, pop, blues, jazz, country, R&B, classical, opera, comedy, children’s, retro and other oddities. If I’ve got the artist or album you want for your special product request, I’ll make your unique AlbumWorks product just for you right away! If you request an artist and album not currently on our shelves, I will make the best efforts to find it.
